HBCSD’s Summer Partnership with Summer Harvest

For the second consecutive year, Huntington Beach City School District proudly partnered with Summer Harvest – Food for Kids to ensure that no student went without access to fresh, nutritious groceries while school was out.
Together with the support of our dedicated HBCSD Food Services team, volunteers, and generous community donors, the program provided families with regular grocery pick-ups featuring fresh produce, pantry staples, and recipe ideas to help keep meals healthy and affordable throughout the break. In addition to groceries, each participating student received a backpack filled with essential school supplies, helping them start the new school year prepared and confident.
Over five distribution days at two convenient locations, the program provided hundreds of bags of food, benefiting more than 130 HBCSD families.
